The Cumberland County Fair
Antique Tractor Pulling

Wednesday - July 2nd
6:30 PM at the Grandstand

The sport of pulling can trace its roots back to the early days of draft horse pulling at the county fairs in the early part of the 20th century. The first recorded "motorized" pulling event took place in 1929 at Bowling Green, MO. As man and machine grew together, the sport of pulling started taking shape.

It grew throughout the 50's and into the 60's.

Tractor Pulls were an integral part of the Cumberland County Fair for many years. In the 1980's Tractor Pulls were replaced on the Cumberland County Fair's schedule.

The Cumberland County Cooperative Fair Association is proud to bring such a vital part of the Fair's history back to the fairgrounds.

Tractor Pull events will take place again this year.

There will no grandstand admission for these events. Come on out and watch as the antique tractors display their power. The farmer and his tractor are an important part of the Cumberland County agricultural scene and they once again will be a part of the Cumberland County Fair.

Rules for the Tractor Pulls can be found here
